Our Programs

at Broad Street Kickboxing

Our Mission Statement

Broad Street Kickboxing is dedicated to building a safe, welcoming space where students of all levels can learn real combat sports from instructors with genuine in-ring experience.

With three Black Belt Jiu-Jitsu instructors and eleven striking coaches—all with sanctioned fight backgrounds—we offer one of the most diverse and experienced coaching teams in the city.

Our mission is to foster a supportive, team-driven culture where everyday students train alongside active fighters, pushing each other forward and crushing goals together.

MUAY THAI

Muay Thai is a brutal striking form imported from the country of Thailand.

It is the national sport of the country and Muay Thai fighters, known as Nak Muays, often begin their fighting careers during childhood and retire in their early 20s.

Known as the Art of 8 Limbs, Muay Thai combines punches and kicks with hard strikes.

BOXING

Boxing is one of the world’s oldest and most respected combat sports.

Built around footwork, timing, defense, and precision, our boxing classes develop full-body conditioning, coordination, core strength, and mental focus.

Boxing is a foundational skill for MMA, forming the backbone of effective striking, distance management, and fight IQ inside the cage.

BJJ

Our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) program is run by skilled black belts and includes a range of classes catering to different skill levels.

Beginner to advanced practitioners, our classes offer instruction appropriate for all levels.

The program focuses on teaching techniques, drilling, and live sparring sessions to improve the students' grappling abilities.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN AT BROAD STREET KICKBOXING?

MMA

Mixed Martial Arts in its current form arrived in the United States in 1993 when Royce Gracie won the first Ultimate Fighting Championship tournament.

MMA combines concepts and techniques from many martial arts to create a truly efficient and modern fighting system.

Athletes will learn the principles of Boxing, Wrestling, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Do I Need any experience to get started?

No!

Although a sports background can help you with general coordination, our classes are designed to teach the beginner all athletic aspects needed to perform at an advanced level. Simply put — we welcome athletes of all experience levels and our coaches are trained to make adjustments so that everyone can participate no matter your athletic ability or limitations.

What to bring for class

For Muay Thai, Kickboxing, and MMA, students will need to purchase 16-oz boxing gloves, shield style shin pads, a mouthpiece, and a groin protector/cup.

Shorts without pockets and a reasonably fitting top are expected as well. No students will be permitted to train shirtless.

For Gi BJJ, students will need a Gi. For No Gi BJJ, we recommend a rashguard and shorts or spats.

Loaner equipment is available for trial students.
